The module aims to promote and apply the EU’s experience and principles in doctoral training (all the courses and activities are based on the Innovative Doctoral Training Principles (IDTP) in Europe produced by European Commission), thereby advancing the employability prospects of Ph.D. students and contributing to the establishment of research professionals in Ukraine, in line with European cultural traditions.
The project offers the following teaching activities: “European Values and Standards in Research” (30 hours per year, for Ph.D. students); “Research metrics, research intelligence, and research excellence” (35 hours per year, 3 years for Ph.D. students, supervisors and university’s management); autumn “School of innovative doctoral training” (35 hours per year for Ph.D. students); Ph.D. Supervisor’s academy (20 hours). The project offers also two venues for discussion and cooperation: The annual residential Enterprise school for Ph.D. students and an International conference dedicated to the project’s cause. The project foresees research (New knowledge and insights on the application of IDTP in a non-European institutional environment) and several lines or topics of it (1 English-language article in Scopus / Web of Science CC, 3 in UA journals).
Promotion is achieved by designing and maintaining the project’s website on the domain snau.edu.ua, and outreach activities at regional, local, and national levels (at least 2 events per annum). The project foresees the level of involvement (training) of target groups: Ph.D. students – min 300 (Ph.D. students originating from Ukraine, China, Afghanistan, and African countries), supervisors – at least 75, representatives from industry and non-academic sectors– 35 persons, senior university management – 30 persons, regional and national policymakers – 20 persons, printed articles (academic – 4 and non-academic – 6), attendance of conferences (3 in total), prepared didactic materials – 2 (bilingual – Ukrainian and English), running project website (Ukrainian and English versions), publication promotional materials, etc.
