Yuriy DANKO

Yuriy DANKO serves as senior expert/advisor/researcher and trainer/teacher.

Doctor of Science, Full Professor, Vice-rector for research, professor in the department of marketing and logistics.

Yuriy Danko is excellently suited to the project’s cause as he is still being by all legal yardsticks young scientist himself has already gone through all the stages: PhD student - for about 8 years as head of young scientists’ council at SNAU - PhD supervisor - Head of a long term special council for PhD and Doctor of Science defence – Vice-Rector for research. Moreover, he is active in many policy-setting bodies at the national and regional levels. Yuriy Danko is the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of Sumy region functioning by the Sumy region State Administration, member of the Supervisory Board of the newly created Sumy Region Development Agency. He was at the forefront of the creation of the Science Park at SNAU (created in 2020) with the aim of closer collaboration between science and business. At the level of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, he is a member of several commissions, in particular, on the reform of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Research Fund.

The project utilizes Yuriy’s expertise in research metrics and intelligence (he has been for 6 years head of research department), experience (including European) in PhD supervision and in academia-business cooperation (mentioned above) as Yuriy DANKO is going to play a leading role in course ‘Research metrics, research intelligence and research excellence’ in cooperation with Oleh PASKO and Yevheniia POLISHCHUK, co-lead The PhD Supervisor’s academy (lead Yevheniia POLISHCHUK) and lead Annual residential ENTERPRISE SCHOOL (co-lead Mykola KOSTEL).

He has participated in various Erasmus+ programs (KA2+ CBHE and Jean Monnet) in past, whereas currently, he is a part of one JM project and Institutional Project Coordinator of Erasmus+ КА2 CBHE 619451-EPP-1-2020-1-AM-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP International Students Adaptation and Integration / INTERADIS.
